Jason's APRS page
just a skeleton for now
The offical APRS wiki is at info.aprs.net
an APRS
presentation I gave for the UAH Space Hardware club.
Designed as an introduction to APRS for ballooning.
a
presentation I gave for the USLP workshop.
Designed as a brief introduction introduction to ham radio tracking and telemetry
for rocketry folks.
some xastir files, mostly dbfawks, that I have written are
here
the xastir homepage is www.xastir.org
some pictures and data logs from UAH balloonsat flights are
located here
My various APRS callsign/SSIDs:
- KG4WSV Kenwood TM-D700 in my truck
- KG4WSV-1 Kenwwod TH-D7A portable, in my wife's car, etc
- KG4WSV-2 xastir running on desktop computer
- KG4WSV-6 xastir on laptop
- KG4WSV-7 XDigi operating at home with a rooftop antenna (no
other digis in town, so it's better than nothing)
- KG4WSV-10, KG4WSV-11 various OpenTracker balloon tracking
packages, ususally a backup to a student-built primary tracker
on a UAH Balloonsat. Here are two
examples.
- KG4WSV-13 OpenTracker2 beta - neat device! It can do so
many things I'm not sure what to use it for. It can operate
as a smart digi and as a TNC for regualr APRS use, so I'll
probably use it for that when I can move my digi inside the
house.
- KG4WSV-15 Igate running at UAH - sometimes on 2m satellite
frequency, sometimes on backup tracker frequency for balloon
flights (144.34MHz)
