Upon successful completion of the Preliminary Examination, a student may begin research for
the dissertation.

All theses and dissertations must be accessible to the general public. Dissertation results are expected to be submitted for refereed scholarly publication.  Consult the Thesis and Dissertation Manual, available at the University Bookstore, before typing.
