Welcome to the website for the UAH Society of Women Engineers!
UAH has one of the highest percentages of female engineering students and graduates. 25% of all undergraduate engineering students are female. In 2000, 30% of the engineering students who recieved bachelor's degrees were women. Click here for more information and statistics.
The UAH section of the Society of Women Engineers has approximately 100 members. We are involved with the North Alabama professional section of SWE. Past projects include: helping area Girl Scouts earn their Engineering Badge, adopting an "angel" from the Salvation Army Angel Tree, Valentine's Day Fundraiser and Flower Sale and attended regional conventions.
During the spring semester, our meetings will be held on Tuesday nights in the Engineering building. Check the calendar for more information.
